Fragrant nose of red licorice and kirsch. Voluptuous and saturated without feeling too heavy. A little bit of heat but it quickly fades into the background. Chocolate ganache and stewed blueberry flavors. Medium complexity and medium finish. Enjoyable

Beautiful nose of pure currants and violets. No bricking, deep red color. On the pallet dark fruit, with seamless tannins which are well integrated with acid, just a really great wine. Very smooth finish which seems to last forever, would love to taste again in 5 more years but this is my last bottle, will have to try the Lotus vineyard designation next!

Ripe cassis, blackberry, plum notes. Full bodied, with plenty of extracted fruit. The tannins have started to integrate- this got significantly better with more time in glass.

Manufactured in the cult style of extraction with very, dark ripe fruit. Blackberry, plum, cassis. Vanilla. Sour tannins. Seems to be going through an integration phase, hold for a few years. It has similarities to Bevan Ontogeny- which is encouraging so give it some time for the tanins to become plush.
Day 2: tannins softened, wine lightened a bit and better integrated.

Very good wine. Need 2-3 hour decanting.
