Agree with my last note that this is drinking really well right. For my tastes, probably about at peak with plenty of time left. Deep dark fruits, nice structure, and pretty well integrated. Drink now and over the next 3+ years.

Tor rarely disappoints. This Howell Mountain cab from Cimarrosa is no exception. The baby fat has mostly shed at this point. The tannins are fine and well integrated. The classic Howell Mountain notes of forest floor and earthiness are prevalent but not overpowering. Just a lovely wine that got better over the evening. If you have some, I encourage you to open one up. It’s singing right now.

I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of 2011 napa cabs as they seem to lack the depth that I typically look for, but this 2011 Cimarossa was excellent! Deep fruit - dark plums, raspberry, cinnamon, and dusty/gritty tannins. I've heard that mountain Vineyards did better than the valley floor in 2011 and this bottle definitley supports that notion. Will drink my last bottle over the next 3 to 5 years.

Excellent for 2011. Medium body and tastes like a good Bordeaux to me than 100% cab. It would pair well with some cheese and cold cuts.
