Cranberry and earth on the nose. Significant tart fruit on the palate — cranberry and cherry — with some earth and mushroom. Medium bodied with prominent acidity on the finish. Big, flavorful California Pinot Noir but one-dimensional with little complexity.

I'm not a wine linguist, I just didn't like it. There was some taste that was overpowering the fruit--but I cannot describe it. I certainly could use some help. PS My wife enjoyed it, without knowing my opinion.

Medium cherry red in color, this wine reveals cranberry, wild cherry and unusual hints of flinty gunpowder on the nose. The moth feel is medium bodied with defined cedar notes as well as subtle added raspberry. The finish is a little hot with the 14.2% abv noticeable, throwing the overall experience slightly out of balance.
Purchased for $16US, this wine was a decent offering except for the flinty, gunpowder aroma and hot finish.

Restaurant purchase. No rating because the leftover I took home completely fallen apart on day2, suggesting a bad storing condition before. Following is note from day 1.
Blueberry, blackberry, and dark cherry. Liquor-like alcohol and vivid fruit. 14.2% abv. A bit reminiscent of nice not-overdone zinfandel, while nice acidity and tannin gives more structure. Better than I expected from the price ($45 at restaurant).
