Started out tight. But after half hour the nose opened substantially and has lush dark fruit and minerality and a floral note. Palate is integrated flavors of earth, dark berries and moderate acidity. After about an hour some fairly intense tannins start extending the finish bigly. Once it airs out it has a classic profile of traditional Barbaresco with a more feminine tone than barolo. A pleasure.

What good surprise. Elegant, but with a huge structure. Young deserves a many years in the Cellar.
