  The nose leans into the darker fruit spectrum with dark red cherries, raspberries, dark plums, cranberries, licorice, spice notes, currants, violets, roasted herbs, and savory spices. The feel is Medium/full bodied with crisp, high acidity and chewy, high tannins. There is a slight stiffness to the tannins that feel like they won’t ever truly resolve or balance out. There is a slight sting to the alcohol as well that is distracting. This will last a while longer, but in many ways it feels like it is as good as it will be.

  Popped the cork 90 minutes in advance (no decant). Big, beautiful, and smooth. Nice mouthfeel with notes of earthy cherries and spice. Resolved tannins. Enjoyable, lengthy finish. Wonderful wine almost certainly best when paired with food.

  This big hefty, nearly clunky, wine had some light red fruit perceptions, earth and spice. Did I mention the tannins? I see some good notes from respected palates, but this one didn't do it for me. Possible upside potential, if tannins melt...

  Black currant and plum combined with great spice and earth to make an excellent wine. The flavors are rich and complex.
