  • As recommended: 2 days standing for sediments to get down, and decant 2- 3 hours before serving. Great PORT wine, not too sweet, full body & long finish = GREAT! Technically the wine could be kept for another 5 - 10 years, but I'm not so young.

  • A very elegant wine!
The wine has deep dark purple colour as nearly all young vintage ports. The nose is very perfumy and full of red and black fruits (black currant, cherries, blackberries, blueberries etc. ) with light notes of minerality, sweet spices (vanilla) and a decent dusty or earthy nuance.
The palate has similar notes and also notes of gingerbread. The texture is really interesting. It starts with light sweetness but then fruity notes starts to evolve and began to spread all over the tongue and palate. Then the tannins arrive, they are present but very good integrated. They alternate with a fruity and creamy sweetness, all is very balanced. The aftertaste is very long and nice, the sweetness fades away a minute.
I drink it after it has been decanted it for 24 hours so i think this one will keep, but it is so elegant and balanced that it won't need ages to evolve.
Also a good value! (39,50 € in germany)
