  • First time I have ever had a Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet and I have to say that this was an unreal experience that anyone who loves wine should be lucky enough to have, and we were lucky last night. Medium body, but light if that makes sense. Golden straw colour with a hint of chartreuse, but we were looking in poor light. Precise nose flavors of crushed wet stone, lemon zest, and a creaminess that was like a lightly toasted almond in the midst of all the minerality. Persistent finish. Wonderful. highly recommended but waiting a few years will probably make it even better.
