A few Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru plots can be labelled as La Grande Montagne, including La Romanee, Les Grandes Ruchottes, En Virondot, and two separate plots of La Grande Montagne. Though La Romanee and Les Grandes Ruchottes tend to stick with their own names as they are more prestigious. This La Grande Montagne was unfortunately too oaky. The buttery oak toast and spices were nice on the first sip, but the strong oak taints your palate after one glass. Too oaky. (77/100)

Quick decant. Lemon and pear nose and vanilla...although vanilla disappeared near the bottom of the bottle. Medium+ body and lovely fruit, enlivened by that acid. In its drinking window now.

Fresher than last bottle. Some oak still.

A little more advanced than I would prefer. Golden color and oxidative hints. Fruit and acidity still there but would drink up very soon now.
