Trader Joe's Wines (Jeff K's): 85% Sangiovese, 10% Cab, 5% Syrah. Purple in color. The nose is dusty with a bit of red fruit. On the palate, lacks acidity. Slightly under ripe. Some red fruit. Light tannins. Bitter finish. A couple of people liked this better than I but on average, not a crowd pleaser. $8.

Not decanted, consumed one glass on each of two evenings. Lots of acid, some chalky earth, lean tart cherry fruit which all but disappeared after two evenings on the counter. Slightly better with food. Could have been a decent deal for simple baseline sangiovese if the acidity weren't so aggressive.

cheers - another nice value from TJs. You have to pick and choose through their wines, but this one is good.

Appears to have bottle variation issues. This one was very bland with zero complexity. Drinkable, but not for our palate.
