Corryton Burge (Strand Cellars): "Served blind. Blackberry, sweet spice, vanilla, slightly reductive, aa little tertiary leather and a touch of herbaceousness. Juicy with medium plus intensity acidity (that feels adjusted), drying slightly woody tannins, fair alcoholic heft, slightly wet black fruits with red fruit underpin and pyrazine in support, that leather note joins on the finish. South Australian Cab Sav 2005ish"

Enjoyable but starting to fade I think. The fruit flavours have lost distinctiveness, I don't taste specific cherry, currant etc. characters but just a sortof general dark berry sweetness.
The tannins have softened so it's lovely plush drinking, and tannin, acid and alcohol are all in balance. Very enjoyable but I remember liking it a bit more when the wine was a little younger and fruit was a bit more prominent and distinctive.

Pretty dry, but has some good fruit after a few days.

Opened with a slight musty barnyard note that blew off after an hour or so, so decant recommended.
