Small decant prior to drinking. Beautiful colour still Ruby with a tinge of purple running through it, small hints of garnet around the hue. A herbaceous entry point driven cab that is very leaf predominant, blackcurrant and tomato leaf, undertone hints of blackcurrant, redcurrant and cigar box. Palate is soft but a little fleshy, acid low with a slight grip on the tannins, finish solid a medium. At its peak, drink up over the next couple years. I’m not a very green sorta cabernet guy but I have strangely enjoyed this for whatever reason, Houghton’s top end wines are seriously leaps and bounds ahead of this.

Cedar, oak, dark berries on nose
Attractive levels of fruit, tannins are classic CS coarse

Maybe running out of steam. Time to check if you hold a few.
