  • Seems to be fleshier and softer, a bit pudgy, compared to the 2010. Still quite good but lacking focus tonight.

  • A very interesting and well-made wine. Very fragrant nose dominated by flowers and spice. Light to medium body with a smooth almost syrupy texture punctuated by an acidic burst near the finish. Very strong flavors of blood orange and tangerine, along with figs, bananas, flowers, cloves, and raspberry candy, with underlying yeasty and mushroomy notes. Still going strong on night two and evolved quote a bit in the glass (no decanting).

  • Fir the 1st 3 days, this was totally undrinkable with very strong peanut flavor and aroma. Looked like this got oxidized. It actually got better on the 4th day (just kept the bottle in the fridge). Still I never found the purity and floral notes that I would expect in that wine. Probably an off bottle.

  • Less slinky than a Beaujolais, this was a vibrant Gamay with its own concentrated yet bright identity. It became more mineral and meaty over time, losing some of the initial sweetness. There was a real arc to the wine over the course of drinking it. A little closed on the nose but very enjoyable.
