  Fresh but savoury aromas of red cherry, strawberry, a little meat and spices plus some vanilla in the background. In the mouth, a very smooth, unhurried attack of red cherry, before some darker blackcurrant and blackberry, then a slightly peppery wave before a long, distinguished finish.
  This is an impressive wine, full of subtle majesty and quite different to the other cuvées - less opulent and a lot more classy.
  Quite restrained for a 09, but with enough fruit and body for another ten years at least.

  Initial nose is red berries, concentrated, red pepper, balsamic, vanilla, followed by tobacco, wet leaves and coffee. Black cherry and blueberry in the mouth, round, dry yet smooth tannins. Medium to full body, medium-long finish. Much better than my expectations, does not have too much of the greenness that I expected.
