One of my house wines. I've had some other de Loach offerings including their other Pinot, and it isn't particularly impressive even for the price point. The Central Coast juice is special though, especially for the price. This wasn't the best bottle of it I've ever had, but still very good. Nice strawberry flavor with some earth and spice too. Can't go wrong, and soon I'll add a case to my cellar to see what this will do over the next few years (because all I do now is drink it as soon as I get a few bottles).

Consistent with my prior note from earlier this year - maybe even a bit better this time. A rare bargain-basement Pinot Noir that is very, very good. Almost outstanding. Fresh strawberries, dried herbs and earth on the nose. Medium-to-full bodied and bursting with ripe, tangy cranberry and pomegranate fruit. Shows amazing depth and focus on the mid-palate - absolutely unheard of for a wine at this price point. Beautifully balanced, with a moderate acidity. There's excellent length to the fruity finish, which features attractive notes of spice, cola and mineral. By far the best $10 Pinot Noir I've ever tasted - and probably ever will! 50+5+11+16+7=89

Very pleasantly surprised at how good this is for a $9.99 Central Coast Pinot. Even the nose is quite attractive and expressive. Full-bodied, rich and delicious. There's excellent depth and intensity to its black cherry and pomegranate fruit. Nicely balanced, with a lively acidity. The long-lip-smacking finish contains plenty of ripe fruit and subtle notes of spice and cola. Very polished and easy to drink. An amazing value. 50+5+11+15+7=88

Lovely Pinot noir for the price. Served with ravioli and rich sauce. Would buy again.
