Nice everyday drinker. Very light...almost Pinot light. Cherries is the dominant flavor. I prefer the Ferrari Carano full a fuller body and lower price point.

A touch of edgy heat, but not horrible, and just a little thinner than expected. The oak adds a bit of sweet, smoky elegance without overpowering the fruit. This is a fairly consistent and decent cab, although perhaps inching up in price a bit, it's still always nice to find this on a wine list when looking for something somewhat affordable. Not built for long aging, but no rush to drink this. 13.5% abv

Pop and pour. Beautiful nose, but simpler on the palate. Layers of chocolate and black cherry. Old World nose/New World palate. The bright acidity and medium body keep it fresh and lively.

Nose of menthol and wintergreen. A little strawberry. On the palette, the fruit is starting to fade. Drink up.

Green and herbal, the merlot is a little more exciting I am being told and yes, I would agree.
