I tasted this with three other Cabs. Enjoyed it, but was a bit simple and was thankfully not a super rich style, more like this wineries’ more restrained attempts. Thanks for the shot at a different grape Jeff.

Interesting Cab, made by a winemaker more known for Zins and Rhone varietals. Has an herbaceous note that makes it taste more like Cab Franc. Decent but not comparable to Cohn's Zins or Rhone-inspired wines.

A bit of a puzzler-- seems like the wine is in an awkward place as the nose has gone dumb, yet the wine is already smooth and balanced as though having aged a while. I worry that by the time the nose comes back (if it does), the rest will be past prime. JC Cellars makes so many other great age-worthy wines, I'm going to free up some space and rate this one "drink up".

A bit green on the nose at the onset, but then that gives way to a decent dark fruit effort with some chocolate and cedar notes
