Austere and restrained. More Bordeaux like than any NZ or CA version, but not like that either given the lack of semillon to round it out. Interesting but not really enjoyable. Not sure where this will go, but I have a couple more bottles so will wait to see.

Taste at FHE. Bone dry, crisp, minerals, green fruit. Just faint touches of yellow elements. Fresh acid driven finish. Can tell the higher altitude fruit. More textured on palate.

Pretty bracing acidity and lots of steeliness, not the most pleasant but clean.

Light straw color. Citrus, apples and a bit of mown grass on the palate. A very pure wine with depth and length.
