Dinner at Pizzeria Bebu (Chicago, IL): From half-bottle. This is a very thick wine, with a texture that clearly shows its concentration and intense sweetness. The nose has dried fruit flavours, which are also present on the palate. There's a slight touch of bitterness on the back end that actually adds to the wine, as well as some almond notes to accompany the mix of dried fruit here.

Popped and poured from split. This is a thick, golden-brown wine that looks somewhat like molasses or maple syrup. On the nose, I get butterscotch, carmal, and a bit of spice. The finish is intensely sweet like an ice creams sundae. Overall, this is a very sweet and unique dessert wine -- there is not a bit of botrytis to be seen (or smelled). Still, this is rather expensive at $100, so I doubt I'll be back again. 92 points.

Sweet and lovely. Rich, raisined fruit with great acid and long finish. No off or negative notes. Very easy to enjoy, but a serious wine.
