Typical Stag' Leap. Earthy, inky, taste of dirt. Much drier than a lot of the typical cal cabs these days. Would go very well with steak. Drinking very well now.

PnP at a local restaurant, and then continued to drink over the course of the next 4-5 hours. Classic stag's leap color of deep ruby red, with a nose of licorice and creme de cassis. Well integrated wine at this point, with a decent medium body feel mid pallet and a relatively nice, 20-30 sec finish. There is a bitter note to it that brings it down a notch or two in my book. It was better than I expected and a nice wine, especially with food. It lacks the concentration to really be anything special, and the tannins are more cutting and sharp than I would like, but overall a well put together wine.

Very stags leap. Dark and inky. Extracted. Alcohol high but not incredibly so. Decanted and drank over a couple days. Dark fruit in the forefront. Surprisingly so much sediment. A little chunky and chewy. I think kairos as this vineyard used to be called is just a but too big and ripe for my tastes. I like the alpine and Ganymede and the elevage a bit more. I do love CR but the wines are too expensive.

Great wine. Enjoyed with lamb chops and branzino.

Aerated and decanted for one hour. Continued to open for another 30 minutes. Moderate fruit with strong tannin. Overall medium body. A bit pricy.
