I drank their honeycrisp ice cider wine two days ago, and this one is also a well made wine. I don't like it as well as the honeycrisp since it's more cloying and a bit more out of balance between the sweetness and acidity. The body is full and the finish is long. There is some beautiful complexity with the flavors with the mix of apple flavors. Overall, this is a well made wine that's a bit out of balance. You'll enjoy it as a desert for sure.

This was a pretty small taste as it was quite popular with the broader crowd and so I just took a few sips from another glass. There's a depth of flavor to it. A bit more interesting. Some baking spices and similar. Perhaps could use a touch more acidity. Very sweet, but fun in a way. It's enjoyable.

The theme for the evening was fall and what says fall better than a nice ice cider? This reminds me a bit of an apple pie with the lovely fruit but also lots of baking spices in there. Decent acidity. I found myself coming back to it a few times. Perhaps because there was quite a lot of wine earlier, I appreciated a bit of the change-up.

Welcome to Fall Offline - featuring a Chateau Rayas Fonsalette vertical (Amali Restaurant - NY, NY): 11th wine tasted. 2nd of the stickies. My first time trying an ice cider or an alcoholic cider of any kind for that matter - so no real comparison points. On the nose this is definitely cider - beautiful fall apples - thinking macintosh. On the palate like cider, with a bit more acidity and some heat from the alcohol - very interesting. Would be fun to sip this while sitting around an outdoor fire pit after raking leaves:-) Zero pennies voted by the group.

This wine continues to just be fun. Served for some friends and family as an end of meal sweet note and it was well enjoyed. The apples have a bit more complexity than I would imagine and a great sweet and sour set of notes that I think work very well.
