Balanced and interesting. No question in anyone's mind that it's French (though delightfully, we're all wrong). Classic Blanc de Noir details. Bready with red apple skin and a touch of cognac.

Clear and bright, pale gold colour and small bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, with medium intensity aromas of rye bread, biscuit, cream, strawberry jam and dried peaches. It's off-dry in the mouth, with a high refreshing acidity, medium- alcohol, medium- body, creamy mousse and medium+ intensity flavours of rye bread, biscuit, cream, strawberry jam and dried peaches. The finish is of medium+ length. It's a very good quality wine with a good balance between acidity and sweetness, a nice complexity given by the autolytic notes and ripe fruit aromas and a nice finish. However it needs even more complexity and an even longer finish to be outstanding. Drink now, but it can develop more complexity in the next 3-5 years.
