  From the pull of the cork I could tell we were in for a treat. the cork was still in great condition and there was minimal to no sediment upon decant.
  In the glass evolved aromas of rubbed herbs, leather billfold, fine tobacco, cocoa powder and notes of cassis, dark cherry, spiced plums, cigar box, velour pillows, vanilla, violets and earth that all weave into each other with complexity.
  On the palate this wine is suave and sleek with polished fine tannins that coat the mouth with a velvety texture. Acidity is balanced in this full-bodied wine. Flavors show notes of dark cherry and cassis the meld with devils chocolate cake, herbs, tobacco, leather, vanilla, violets, earth and toast oak that all linger through the finessed finish.
  
  This wine has cellared exceptionally well and is still quite alive.
