ABV: 14.0%. If you've never had Ruchè then you definitely need to try it because the nose is absolutely captivating. Notes of potpourri, ripe stone fruits, and Asian spices immediately jump out of the glass. On the palate, there's ample acidity, lifting the fruit tones and keeping everything intact. The pleasant finish is lengthy, but I think this wine could use some more time in the cellar (another 5 years?). However, if you're planning to open a bottle soon, decant it for about 45 minutes and let the amazing fragrance fill the room.
12/2/2022 - Raised the score by one point. 48 hours after opening, the nose on this Ruchè is still as fragrant as it was when I first opened the bottle. The acid is now very well-integrated into the wine, but it's still keeping everything intact. This wine is drinking well, but it's beginning to show its decline.

This really stood out amongst many wines at a party. My first thought was Schioppettino (SIC?). Juicy fruit, light to med. body, pepper aromas. Looking forward to trying this again.

Upon opening this bottle, you are treated with a pleasant aroma of fruits, oak and herbs. The color is a little brownish which usually means it is time to drink now. Plenty of tannins and a spicy finish. Second day, a little flat, herbal taste is over powering, finish is short to medium. Reducing my rating from 92 to 90
