Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • A single bottle purchase for drinking on holiday last summer that survived to be cellared for a while. Cork shows all the signs of the pox, but on pouring, the wine is pale to the point of almost being colourless. Phew. Initially a tight, minerally nose that doesn't give much away. As it warms in the glass, it opens a little to reveal some citrus fruit, hints of ripe melon and lots more clean minerality. Focussed and pure on the attack, starting to hint at a honey flavours but still predominantly mineral mid-palate with lime on the crisp finish. Still needs a couple of years to open up and show to full advantage, but enjoyable now.
