Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Recent acquisition from cellaraiders. PNP. Cork soaked to top and a little mold. Color garnet with bricking edges. Nose has some smoky reduction but mostly earth and cherry. Swishing shows both acid and tannin structure that are still vigorous but the fruit is still palpable from mid palate to finish. Sipping this shows remarkable cherry fruit that keeps up with the significant structure. This is showing very nicely, and despite the age and condition of this bottle I think that this wine has plenty left ahead.
