Tasting 2009 in 7/17. Aromatics were closed, even still after 1-4 hour decant. This wine is not ready at all right now. Needs another 3-10 years. Tannins are fine, soft and well integrated. Rich dark fruit, pepper, slight herbal eucalyptus and dark chocolate. Much more Aussie than French in style. 89-92pts. A lot of flavor and intensity is caged up, hard to score now. Taste 2020+

I really wanted to love this wine but all I can say is that I like it and it is food worthy. Red purple, no bricking , nice floral nose, blueberry notes on the palate ... definitely an Aussie take rather than Northern Rhone. Better the second night finally having a 5-10 second finish suggesting the wine still needs a bit more time in bottle. I have three more and hope they evolve.

After 30 minutes it opened up and tasted very nice. Was better then I anticipated.
