The White Rose Maresh bottlings are relatively rare (I think) - at least I have only two vintages in stock. 2011 is one of my favorite years and this does not disappoint. A relatively pale bright ruby, a somewhat muted brooding aroma compared to many from this domaine. Upon the palate it does not disappoint, with explosive tart cherry and spice, a little smoke and mineral components, relatively high acidity.

Nose is effusive...fragrant rose petal, cherry ...nice floral light but really there nose Flavor is strawberry, light cherry, rose... wrapped in a nice acidity.. A finesse wine that needs to be savoured over an extended period... It deserves time in the glass and nuanced examination.... Qpr?...hmmm heavy to overcome at $100....like it a lot but not worth the price of admission...

Tasted on 28jul2018, light in color. Jammy at first but mushroom, truffle and cherry once you let it breath. Must look for nuances because its delicate nature. Open in 2021+

A bit watery - drink the other bottle within this year. Slight sour aftertaste
