Ripe black cherry and Kirsch. More than slightly sweet to me, giving a simple character that doesn't thrill me. Not really at the level United Airlines should be serving in international First Class.

Red and black fruit, raspberries and cherries dominate. Lovely fruit with herbal spice. Thyme and menthol, with a little wet soil. Really well balanced, good acidity. Plays well with food but is delicious on its own.

Loved this wine. Etude than Etude. Big cherries, typical of the best Santa Barbaras. Paired perfectly with sushi (salmon tartare, yellowtail belly, even eel roll). Tons of upfront fruit and plenty of time left in the remaining bottles.

Bright ruby in color, this wine showed tart cherry, cranberry and clove on the nose. The mouth feel was heavier than expected with solid acidity and added notes of smoke and tar. The finish was firm with the red fruits marrying well with the acidity.
Purchased for $20US, this is a nice wine that shows its New World sense of place, being bigger in style while retaining its Pinot Noir varietal charateristics.
