Youthful, deep color. Reticent aromas. Cherry and chocolate palate. Thinnish body. I'm generally a fan of this winery and wine. Not a strong vintage for this wine. 86

Popped and poured, and drank over two days. Nose of red cherry, currant, chocolate, spice and forest floor. Cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and smooth tannins on the palate. Leads to a medium to long finish. Medium to full bodied. Softer with more chocolate notes on day two. I recommend at least a two hour decant as opposed to PnP. Good QPR. Paired well the first day with grilled pork chops.

Nice rich enjoyable merlot. Cherry is the dominant flavor. Not complex but a full-flavored wine that works well in front of a fire on a chilly night. A good qpr at $14 from Costco.

Smoke, mocha, pepper, cherry on the nose. Blueberry, mocha, ash on the finish, cassis on the long finish. Excellent the next day more tobacco.
