Very dark garnet with almost black reflexes. As soon as opened surprised with an unbelievable freshness with eucalyptus-minty notes. After half an hour developed leaving place to some dried dates and dark berries marmelade with some tar-hearthy finish. Loved it! I think it passes its peak already but at the same time I think waiting other 2-3 years for drinking it won't make it any worse that fast.

Deep dark blood red color with an insanely intense nose of sweet ripe fruits, dried grass, coconut cream, menthol and american oak. This wine started off quite tight with a slight effervescent-type of astringency but quickly blew away after an hour of air. My initial impression of this wine is its richness - though not over the top, slightly sweet, medium-full-bodied with a slight alcoholic edge. The flavor components evoke comparisons to sweet raspberries, marion berries, vanilla oak, a hint of tobacco and menthol with a pleasant flinty mineral towards the backend and nice long finish. This wine appears to be on its last legs, I think it would have been much nicer if I had had this 2 or 3 years ago. Nonetheless, this is still a very well-made and quality wine.
