Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Dried yellow fruit, beeswax and almost pungent smokiness on the nose. The medium to full bodied, viscous palate reminds immediately of this being a Spätlese. Dry, but there's some residual sugar and fruitiness lurking underneath. They are however kept well in check by the smoky, mineral acidity. Long finish with alternating waves of fruit, smoke and acidity. This one makes quite a bold, unapologetic statement and stands by it. As there is some substance and character, pair with suitable foods that can fight back.
