Oak-dominated nose, chocolate-covered berry palate. Not too extracted but definitely tastes manipulated--no one could ever hope to guess the grape or country of origin. Only 13.5% alcohol but somehow still feels hot.

Popped and used a Vinturi. Garnet core and a bricking and tomato rim. The nose is of lacquered wood, boysenberry, body oder and brown sugar. Strange and kind-of appealing, with no evident mid-palate, a short finish and drying tannins. Not terrible, nor great. Disappointing, considering the fact that Manfred was involved. Drink now.

STG does Austria: oak slathered wine. Actually not very distinctive, other than copious amounts of oak. Drinkable, but nothing particularly interesting, nuanced, or worth more than $15. I feel bad for the suckers that bought this. :D

Still quite powerful after an hour of decanting or so, but has become very on-dimensional and a bis superficial. Thus, rather dis-appointing
