I have drunk at least a dozen of these, bought at a supermarket closing sale. So it was very inexpensive and ended up being a good buy rather than a great wine. The colour is straw yellow with a slight onion skin colour which to me suggests pres wine rather than free run. The nose is quite okay with citrus, apple and a touch of bready/yeasty characters. The palate is a little plain and thin, but a pleasant rather than compelling wine. There is enough acid to balance the slight sweetness, giving some length to the modest citrus, apple and bread flavours. Recommended only at a low price point. There are better Champagnes on the market but mostly at a much higher price.

When an owner of a small grocery tells you he doesn't know how much a dusty bottle costs, bring it up even you don't the winery. This one of my principles. Showing a old golden colour, this was a champagne of distinction with a lovely nose with aromas if marzipan, pastries, apricots and sour cream. Great! The compacte low quality cork suggested a 3 years plus champagne. Lovely oxidised style anyway. Palate is also delicious but you can say it's elegant, delicate either. Shortie, very Coulet-like, yet adequate for assorted take-away maki-sushi. Only 82 points? You're kidding... By the way, loved that motto 'Sine virtus nihil Magnum'

A rich, pleasant and fruity champagne with nice apple flavors. Quite straightforward, not the most interesting or refined champagne that I know, but I liked this anyway. Good quality for the price, I would buy this again.
