Great showing together with bouef bourgignon. Very dark colour, there is some nice old school cassis, barnyard, herbs and something towards brett/forest floor/fungal on the nose. Grip is great, the fruit is cool but very much there. It's bone dry, the tannins are beginning to mellow, it's very rich but still classy and there's lovely acidity. Guests having it blind at first think it's Bordeaux and younger than it actually is. Finally, they nail Cahors realise that it has some age. This is great right now, but nowhere close going downhill.

Fruity, spicy, tobacco and rasins. Great structure, should be excellent for ageing. A classy wine.
