Inky dark and generous with black and blue fruit. More tasty than complex, but there is enough secondary character to keep things interesting. Seems like one to drink relatively near term.

Opened and consumed over two days. Much better on day two, so I recommend a long decant and/or additional cellaring. Plum and dark berries, minerals, and licorice. Medium body, especially in the context of a Duoro red, which I consider to be a good thing as I find many Duoro's to be overly heavy. Decent wine but it didn't knock my socks off.

An opaque dried cranberry color in the glass. Smells like crushed rocks and a smorgasbord of red, blue, and black berries with a touch of camphor-like shoe polish thrown in for good measure. There's also just a hint of ocean breeze and thyme floating around in the background. Medium bodied juice that manages to straddle this fine balance between juicy and slick interwoven with soft and tannic. The liquid resolves into a pleasant melange of Japanese plum, cherries, black pepper and the herbal bite of mustard greens. What a tasty wine. There's a bit of ripe fruit, but the wine finishes lean and dry, pushing the spicy and herbal notes to the forefront of the experience. While I do remember perceiving some nice fruit sweetness, the gravelly, herbal thing is front and center during the impressively long finish.

Wow, nach wie vor sehr präsent. Langsam am Höhepunkt, aber noch keine Alterserscheinungen.

Still retains thick dark fruit, but showing its age in color and flavor. Drinkable, but past its prime.
