Fairly dark in color, a bit cloudy in contrast to the Chave and Allemand wines on the table. Lovely nose, on the lighter side, not quite the quintessential Jamet vegetal signature, but it's there in the background; nicely intense on the palate, classic Jamet mix of darker raspberry and brighter strawberry notes, excellent acidity, and nicely complex. Lovely wine.

Allemand vs Chave (Kitchen Istanbul): Gorgeous nose with floral notes, bright fruit, cherries, and blackberries. Nice acidity on the palate with complex flavors of red fruit, cherries, and blood orange. Long finish. Excellent wine that is drinking beautifully right now!

Chave vs. Allemand (Kitchen Istanbul, SF): Unique nose with floral aromatics, potpourri, a bit of kirsch, saffron interestingly; palate is medium bodied, elegant, balanced on the palate but the nose is definitely more showy; medium finish. Lovely northern Rhône wine. 92

Dinner with the wine group (La Bohème, Palo Alto): A touch cloudy, high intensity aromatics, herbals with some whole cluster stems, red fruit, meaty/sauvage aromas; palate is medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, balanced alcohol, smooth textured, low-medium integrated tannins; finish is medium-long. Lovely Jamet, unique character. 93-94 Day 2: Lovely aromatics even today, meaty, white pepper, spice; palate is medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, silky tannins fully integrated, good mature fruit; long finish. Really a very lovely Jamet, unique among Northern Rhone.
