Promising lemon and apple notes on the nose. The palate is not as appealing: mild lemon and faint sweet pear, with a fine to medium bubble and moderate acidity. An oyster brine taste on the finish is a bit unusual, and would probably make this match well with oysters, but unlike Champagne this doesn't have enough character to stand on its own.

Gold color with medium bubbles. Aromas of whipped honey, roasted nuts and lemon zest. Creamy with fine bubbles and medium acid. Lemon zest and tart green pears, along with saline and oyster brine notes. Much lighter-bodied than Champagne or other New World Bruts, this reminds me more of a crisp Cremant d’Alsace. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2014-09; South America. (By IL): Yeast and citrus in the bouquet. Same on the palate. Some apple as well. Clean, easy going and quite simple, but certainly an ok bubble.
