  • The last of 6 bottles bought at auction, and it showed the same signs of aging as the previous bottle a couple of months ago, so drink up and enjoy.
PnP, chilled, and allowed to slo-ox and warm a bit for 20 minutes. A very attractive medium bodied aged Riesling. Showing lots of mandarin orange, some peach, some pineapple, a touch of apricot (when warmer), and a solid acid backbone. It was as sweet as one would expect from a Spatlese (medium dry on the "Riesling scale"), but less sweet when consumed with food.

  • Popped, chilled, then slo-oxed for 15 minutes to allow the wine to open and warm. This bottle followed the previous four bottles, but did show some signs of aging as the color moved from a darker yellow to gold/amber. On the palate the wine continued to show lots of mandarin orange, some peach, some pineapple, and a solid acid backbone. Might suggest drinking any remaining bottles by year end.

  • Another satisfying bottle of this 15+ year old MSR Riesling.
PnP, chilled, and allowed to slo-ox and warm a bit for 20 minutes. A very attractive medium bodied aged Riesling. Showing lots of mandarin orange, some peach, some pineapple, and a solid acid backbone. It was as sweet as one would expect from a Spatlese (medium dry on the "Riesling scale"), but less sweet when consumed with food. Could continue to delight for another couple of years.

  • As good as the previous two bottles, with a 15 minute slo-ox.
A fruity-petrol nose. Medium bodied aged Riesling, with lots of mandarin orange, some apricot, some pineapple, and a solid acid backbone. It was as sweet as one would expect from a Spatlese, but less sweet when consumed with food. Could hold for a couple of years.
