PnP. No real frame of reference for an aged CdP. Color dark garnet with a touch of browning to a clear rim. Initial animally nose evolving to black raspberry with a distant spice. Palate is fig and black raspberry with spiced cake and garrigue, a hint of tea leaves on the long finish, some powdery tannin. Well balanced and suave - delightful.

A restaurant purchase, this wine took a good hour plus to finally open up. A restrained nose opened to a bit of cherry, earth and graphite. On the palate, medium-bodied with cherry, raspberry and a core of minerals, with just traces of some Rhone garrigue. With time, the finish lengthen to medium. A bit simple, but pleasant.

Mouthfilling, primary and mineral are the three words that come to mind. Medium purple-red in the glass with a reticent nose of spice and funk, the palate lacks heavy fruit, but is richly mineral with a puckering aftertaste and moderate astringency.
