From 100% Syrah, you find flowers, black raspberries, thyme, espresso and smoke. Full bodied, round, fresh and young, give this 3-5 more years in the cellar.

Weekly tasting group RWP #274: Syrah Rhone vs South Africa (@ JdB): Beautiful bouquet with red and dark berries, ripe cherries and pepper. On the palate ripe and round juicy fruits, leather, coffee, spiciness and chocolate. Mild acidity, tannin and bitterness. 91+

Apr15 Deep ruby-purple, black fruits, black pepper, spices nose, quite complex even if young. Medium plus tannins, medium acidity. Amazing long finish. Great. Drank the second time in Nov17 and while opening up i noticed a strong wood like, blood and barrel aroma i didn't observe when i drank it first time. As it fades, it becomes dusty, mushroomy and black fruits. Quite light on the palate with medium acidity. Nice rustic style, silky finish. I am not wowed

Popped and poured at restaurant. Probably a little early to drink. Got better with air and particularly savory meat dishes where the spice of the Syrah cut through the salt. Spicy on the nose. Not as full bodied as other Rhone valley wines or syrahs. Pepper, dark fruits, smoke and licorice on the palate. Color was lovely deep purple. Decent finish.
