2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Youthful nose displaying rich concentrated red fruit, strawberry jam, cherry compote, a hint of sap and sous bois, sesame/toasted oak, sweet spices and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of rich concentrated red fruit, rich and generous, bright acidity, earth mineral, noticeable but not obtrusive tannins, and a long ripe concentrated red fruit driven finish. The sous bois has not fully developed. This will improve for another decade.

(Old note, corrected) Darker fruit, light concentration. Totally hollow mid palate. Tough to peg down. Staying power was impressive. Didn't love it for the price (glad it was a free taste). Refined but left you wanting so much more concentration or depth.

Grands Jours de Bourgogne 2014 Day 2: Côte de Nuits 3-18-13: Since the Morey/Tawse buyout, Mark Fincham makes these wines. Bertrand's last vintage was 2011. Biodynamic now. Very cool, soft cherry and tea.
