  This is a wine which I purchased from my most trusted retailer on a lark. The retailer purchased it from a private collector in San Jose who had purchased it at the winery and had cellared it in pristine fashion. A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, it is a deep garnet/amber wine which immediately after decanting shows a spectacular, very intense bouquet of cigar box, cherry, potpourri, pomegranate and earth. Medium-to-full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, melted tannins and in-harmony alcohol (which is listed as a mere 12.5%). The middle palate is rock-solid and the finish is long and smooth. If you find a well-cellared bottle of this gem, buy it immediately and ask questions later! Drink now-12/13.
