  • Candied citrus and apple on the nose, and a round, sweet palate without a lot of complexity. While this was nice, it didn't have the delineation or acidic spine I look for in a Riesling. Still quite sweet, but more suited to rich cheeses than dessert.

  • From memory a long time ago, but I recall that this was very very good. Deep amber color, effusively floral and tropical fruit. Dense but fresh on the palate. Endless finish.

  • The grapes here were picked in the last week of November when the temerature was -7c. This is a baby eiswein bottled as an Auslese. This is were I must take exception with the ratings of the WA who gave this wine 85? points and called it too candied I think. I did not find this candied or cloying. I thought it had excellent balance and had a supple richness. Concentrated fruit notes of quince, asian pear and a hint of vanilla bean. Should be a very good value for what you are getting. BUY THIS WINE. 94-95 points.
