My first try of this vineyard and estate, nose full of fruit, blueberry, red cassis, peppery, on the palate there is firm fruit, blackberry, blueberry, concentrated black cherry and some kirsch, all this very dense and fresh, a load of black pepper, a little rough still, the tannin demanding and pulling the cheeks inwards, elegance is here to stay, but lacking the finesse of better Bourgognes, a very typical Pommard showing, where is my Entrecote/Iberico/Lamb chop? Needs a decent decant still, guess good pairing with meat, or hold another decade, *(*-***), around 85 (day two)-90(+) when fully mature hopefully!
24 hours later this one is more balanced, a basket full of fruit, but the tannin, rough still, paired this half bottle for an early Abendbrot with two Iberco chops, great pairing , but the bottle due to this great vintage is lacking balance and structure still, therefore problematic QPR, had its chance, will not buy again,

Tasted over 2 hrs -med dark red -reticent brooding dark fruit black pepper(!) dusty cherry -med acidity, med weight iron-infused earthy low key dark red/black fruit bitter soil/earth, coarse med+ tannins -quite brutish, needs a lot of time to integrate the structure - by which time the fruit may be entirely faded

Courcel/ Chanson Tasting with Gilles de Courcel (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Dark berries on nose and palate with a meaty character, fresh herb and ripe finish that works well with some rustic, ferrous hints and the firm, mouthcoating textures I most often associate with Pommard.
