  • Slow ox'ed for over a couple of hours over the counter. Deep garnet in colour. Nose of black black cherries and black raspberries, plums, and a bit of spice. On the palate, a similar plush profile like the nose with touches of Dutch cocoa and ripe strawberries; tannins still evident. Medium-full bodied with a medium+ finish. Well done.

  • Very delicious on the nose and palate. Nose had sweet raspberries, garrigue, hint of annise, plum, herbs and baking spice. Palate was very similar, with a definite cured meat note. Dense, earthy and savoury, but bringing a healthy dose of sweet CDP profile. Really enjoyed it and it got better as we drank. Decanted for 45 minutes and drank over the coarse of 2 hours with a porterhouse steak.

  • Double blind tasting
    Medium ruby, filtered
Aromatics medium +. Red fruit including plums. Purple flowers. No oak spice or minerality.
Palate has medium + body. Acid medium. Tannins medium +, teeth and upper palate, fine to medium textured. Alcohol medium +. Blue fruit predominate with some green stem notes.
Length is medium. Balance somewhat towards the alcohol, but overall fruit driven
Dry glass notes of plum syrup
    Drink now.

  • Pale to medium ruby in color - light bricking at rim
Medium intensity aromas of fresh and dried red and black fruit/ sweet plum with fresh and dried rose/ florals - potpourri and touch of cocoa - really fascinating
Palate is medium bodied - ripe red and blue fruit and dried herbal notes
Medium plus to high alcohol which dominates the palate
Medium plus tannins which are well integrated - medium plus acidity and medium length
The nose on this wine is fantastic - the palate on the other hand I find a little unbalanced and dominated by the alcohol
Drink now - I think as the fruit is fading the alcohol is becoming more of an issue

  • Drinking wonderful right now, but no rush. Unlike other notes seem to indicate, I did not find any objectionable alcohol levels; thought the wine was elegant and well belanced.
