  • I really enjoyed this wine. Not profound but not boring either. A little barnyard on the nose but really quite tasty and distinctively from the Côte d’Or. some whole cluster? I don’t know, but I loved the savory notes. Drinking well now, and I wish I had more. Very good wine for the price.

  • Almost exactly 3 years from my last note on this wine. It has settled well. There is still some burnt rubber on the nose to begin, but it blows off with a bit of air. to reveal a touch of earth, sour cherry and cranberry. On the palate, pure red cherry and good acidity. A touch thin, and grainy on the finish, which leans a little acidic, but not bad.

  • Pretty funky at first, with a bit of burnt rubber as well. I decanted this and after about an hour in the decanter the funk calmed down. The nose was fairly expressive with strawberries, cherry cola, some mint, and the barnyard never really disappeared, it just became less distracting. On the palate, this was a little thin; I would say medium- to light bodied with lots of high-toned red fruits like cranberries and more strawberries. No real tannin on the finish. This reminded me and my wife more of an Oregon PN more than a Burgundy.

We finished this bottle on 4/1 and it was probably at its best on the last day open. The burnt rubber/funk on the nose has diappeared revealing a wonderfully clean wine with musty red cherries and cranberries on the nose, some spice. Good acidity and a soft nicely structured finish. Anyway, I think the drink-by dates seem off: if this is a representative bottle, it will definitely settle down a bit with some short term cellaring.

  • Still not possiblly to find a reasonable inexpensive red Burgundy. Strawberries, flowers, truffles on the nose. Firm on the palate with lots of flowers, forest floor. Disappointing fruits. Ok length.
