  • Interesting red fruits nose which I liked. In the mouth mineral flavours, but keeping red fruits as well, good mix. You can feel the alcohol a tiny bit too much in the mouth which is not something I like as it feels less elegant. Tannins are light, acidity medium. Drink now

  • A wine that requires patience, not just on the micro level of decanting, but an ontological patience regarding what red Burgundy is. Warm not particularly lifted nose of earthy nose of brambly fruit. That promesse de bonheur, once again; taste = not a lot to start with, but the warm dusty fruit does eventually evolve into something deeper.

You need to be in the right frame of wine to enjoy a wine like this. That it is understated is an overstatement. It is without real depth or complexity of texture. It is thin, in fact. But it is a nice thinness, which is so typical and so frustrating about red Burgundy.
