  • Nose of red fruit, a bit of forest floor, but perhaps just a tad heavy on the oak/vanilla for my preference. Palate is nice and fresh, some red fruits, and a good line of acidity, but a very slight touch of green on the finish. Good firm structure with some lingering tannins but very drinkable now. A very nice wine, but not quite balanced enough to make it an excellent one.

    * note was edited slightly after a second bottle - this is better with food that can take the structure
