Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 91 points

  • 91 points today, but 95+ pts in 5 more years in the cellar. This is a big wine and definitely in the Grand Cru quality. However, at this current stage it is a tightly wound ball of energy. The fruit is big but held back by massive tannin on the finish. The acidity and structure in the wine suggests this will be a stunner with patience. There are wines when the high tannin level leaves you thinking “this will never get better” and then there are wines like this that leave you thinking “why did I open this tonight because this is going to rock in 5+ years”. Patience is a virtue. Let it rest a while.
