Last bottle of six, purchased at the winery, lots of plum, cranberry, dark cherry, hints of tea, earth on a medium long finish. Based on this bottle, drink over the next couple of years.

Love this. Dark and strong . This wine is drinking fantastically. It has a balanced but still notably tannic texture . I wish I had another few bottles so I could see what this will do in five or ten more years.

Dark red color with blueish tinges still; Lively nose with hints of pepper, ink and pomegranate; still very young! On the palate there is a bold, masculine feel of power , some sweet red fruit but all of it balanced by a lively acidity. Long finish. Quite impressive! This wine could probably easily go on for another 5-10 years. On day 2, from a half bottle decanted off the original one: the wine has further developed, showing yet more body and volume together with some cocoa tones, an acidity that is coming more to the foreground and it seems to be a totally different, but still attractive wine at this stage. It's the first time I consciously paid so much attention to the Croft bottling of Bergstrom. Shame on me for having missed it. On a par or better than the Bergstrom vineyard or Shea vineyard bottling.

Held too long. Tart, faded.

Absolutely fantastic. Every 2012 I've had from Bergstrom has been just that.
